We All Know It's Spring Bling Time
Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 12:24AM Listen...Someone just turned on the lights, its time for the Spring Bling.
Some of us like when those sneakers squeak accross a freshly cleaned court. Some of us like seeing our own kids or a kid they have watched grow in the program walk through and dap it up with some former coaches. Although, I hate to see kids in flip flops before games, I love to see them fresh sneakers and basketballs under one arm sharing a laugh or two with teammates they have played with in the past.
It's Spring Bling Time.
For the players...staying late, suicides, constant tweaking of a play, getting coached up by head coaches, assistant coaches, mommas and always daddys, the Spring Bling is worth it.
For the parents...making that stop at the ATM, finding breakfast on the way, pumping up that player before the game, prepared to wash that uniform twice in one weekend and makng sure they "baby" got that haircut for this show, they ready for the Spring Bling.
For the coaches....a little time-wasting with coaches, scouting, recruiting (yeah we do...lol) and playing chess on the court with some of the best coaches AAU has to offer....this is well worth it. It's Spring Bling Time.
So be ready for some "Oooooohhs" and "Awwws", some "Dangs" and some "Did you see thats?"
We love it...It's Spring Bling Time!
Some of us scream till we annoy others, some have to stand to side of the stands, some of us gotta yell at the coaches, kids, refs and anyone that don't agree with us. It's Spring Bling Time.
The schedules are released so find your teams and set your day...It's Spring Bling Time.
