Recap of the MLK New Beginning Classic

Houston, TX. -- The Warriors' basketball teams 4th Grade - Edgar had the odds stacked against them by playing up in this tournament but with a finish of 2nd place in the 5th grade bracket shows that Coach Edgar is starting to see the benefit of hardwork by his kids. DJ Edgar played effectively and distributed the ball well to all the guys on the floor.

3rd Grade - Lawrence continues to show that building a team one practice at a time leads to success on the court in tournaments by winning the 3rd grade championship bracket. 

Congrats to both of these teams for representing the organization well on this past MLK weekend.

The other teams performed well but lost early in bSave & Closeracket play. This week, The Best In The Winter Slam.

I heard Rytes 5th grade holt lost to The 6th grade cowboys in the semis. had a great showing most of the game. the game went back & forth until the cowboys ran away with it at the end.
